About Aaron Sloan, MBA, CFP®, ChFC®
Hi, I'm Aaron Sloan, a financial planner based in Harrisonville, Missouri, serving individuals, families, and business owners across Cass County and the greater Kansas City area.I'm a two-time graduate of Southwest Baptist University, where I double majored in Economics/Finance and International Business before earning my MBA in 2017, and I hold the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification and the Chartered Financial Consultant® designation. I was named Outstanding Business Administration Graduate in 2016, but my real education started much earlier, growing up in a small-town community bank my family has run for three generations.
After seeing firsthand how life's unexpected moments can shake a family's financial footing, I knew I wanted to help others find peace of mind through thoughtful, proactive planning. I found that at Strategic Financial, where we lead with education and comprehensive planning instead of pushing product.
Today I help clients with everything from retirement and tax strategies to risk management, business continuity, and succession planning for family-owned businesses. Whether you're preparing for the next chapter or protecting what you've already built, I'll meet you with clarity, empathy, and a plan built around your goals.
Beyond the office, I stay active in the community I serve, including a role with the Harrisonville Chamber of Commerce Foundation and a seat on Southwest Baptist University's alumni board. Off the clock, I'm a washed-up soccer and tennis player now working on my golf game, and Kansas City BBQ fuels the journey, especially during Chiefs and Sporting KC season.
I work with clients across Harrisonville, Bolivar, Springfield, and the Kansas City metro area, plus others scattered nationwide. You can reach me at my office at (417) 730-1497

What to expect in the first meeting
Your first meeting is a free 30-minute discovery call, and it's exactly what it sounds like: a conversation. There's nothing to buy and nothing you have to prepare. Come as you are, even if your finances feel disorganized or you're not sure where to begin. We'll use the time to get to know each other. You can ask questions, share what's on your mind, and tell me what you're hoping to accomplish. I'll listen, learn about your situation, and be upfront about how we work and what it costs, so you walk away with clarity whether or not we decide to move forward. If it helps, jot down a few questions or the goals that matter most to you ahead of time, but that's the only prep needed. If we're a good fit and you'd like to continue, I'll send a simple checklist to help you gather your financial documents for the next step. No pressure, no obligation, just a chance to see if we're right for each other.Offers Investment Management

About Strategic Financial
Strategic Financial was founded in 2009 on a simple belief: comprehensive financial planning should be accessible to everyone, not just the wealthy. We serve clients across Missouri, nationwide, and internationally with the kind of personalized attention major firms reserve for their top-tier clients, without the asset minimums or the corporate feel.We are 100% independent, which means our advice answers to you and no one else. Our team brings more than 55 years of combined experience and has served clients in 21+ states and abroad.
Our approach rests on three things. We build relationships around you, starting with a free discovery call and a planning process designed to be thorough without being overwhelming. We lead with education, adapting to whether you want every detail or just the bottom line. And we hold to transparency and integrity: we are upfront about costs, clear about conflicts of interest and structured to minimize them, and honest when we do not have the answer.
Whether you are investing your first dollar or preserving a complex estate, we meet you where you are with no judgment and no pressure, just a plan built around your goals.

We Want Your Voice to be Heard
Wealthtender exists to help people discover trusted and authentic financial professionals and educators who may be a good fit based on their unique needs and circumstances.
Your honest reviews help people decide which financial professionals and educators may be best suited to their individual needs.
The majority of people trust reviews as much as personal recommendations, so what you write in your review should reflect your own opinion and experience.
Tips for Writing a Helpful Review
Be descriptive. Instead of just saying what you like or dislike, share why. What have you enjoyed most or least about your experience with the provider? Have they helped you overcome a difficult financial challenge or strengthened your knowledge about particular money matters? The more details, the better!
Be honest. Your rating and review should reflect your actual experience.
Stay relevant. Ensure your review is helpful to others by avoiding off-topic discussions or personal opinions not relevant to your direct experience.
Make your review easy to read. Reviews should be readable to others. Use proper grammar, avoid excessive capitalization or punctuation, and be sure to check your spelling.
Be yourself. Don’t post as, or pretend to be, someone else, and do not say you’re associated with a person or organization with which you are not.
Be nice. Don’t write abusive, hateful, threatening, or harassing content. Avoid personal threats, hate speech, obscenities, or inflammatory language.
Respect the privacy of others. Don’t post information that can be used to identify another individual or compromise their privacy.
Report abuse. Thank you for helping us ensure reviews on Wealthtender are helpful to everyone. If you suspect possible violations of our guidelines or believe a review is inappropriate, please email [email protected] with a link to the provider’s profile, indicating the review in question and the reason you believe it violates our guidelines.
