About Jennifer Kirby, CIMA®, CSRIC®

Jennifer co-founded Talisman Wealth Advisors in 2021 to create a boutique firm free from big bank biases where she could fulfill her fiduciary duty to clients with complete independence. This enables her to better help the self-reliant women she works with to align their money with what is most meaningful to them.

Prior to Talisman Wealth Advisors, Jennifer partnered with Frank Granizo to form The Granizo Kirby Group in 2018 to expand expertise and support available to clients. Jennifer started her advisory career at Merrill Lynch in 2013 after a successful 25-year career serving clients and stakeholders in numerous leadership roles in industries as diverse as advertising, law, the arts, and nonprofit.

Jennifer holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) certification, administered by the Investments and Wealth Institute and taught in conjunction with The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. She also holds the Chartered SRI Counselor™ (CSRIC®) designation, which provides financial advisors and investment professionals with foundation knowledge of the history, definitions, trends, portfolio construction principles, fiduciary responsibilities, and best practices for sustainable, responsible, and impact (SRI) investments. Jennifer received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film, Television, and Radio from New York University. She also earned an Executive MBA from Rutgers University School of Business.

Jennifer has spent over 25 years of her career lending her time and knowledge to empowering women of all ages. She served on the boards of Women in Development and the Rutgers Executive MBA Program and was a Financial Advisor coordinator who facilitated the training and development of new financial advisors. For over 10 years, Jennifer served as a Girl Scout Troop Leader of Cranford, New Jersey Troop 40951, Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey Council.

When not working with her amazing clients, Jennifer enjoys seeking global adventures with her husband of 29 years, Brian, and their very interesting and fun college sophomore daughter. Other interests include time with friends and loved ones, all things music, all things ocean, all things politics, and occasional stints as a pop and jazz vocalist.

										The best thing I ever did was hire Jennifer to help me plan for my retirement and future.  I am financially saavy so I was doing everything myself before I met her.  However, the comfort of having an expert is worth it.  Her advice is important, and I feel like I am on a stronger road to retirement with Jennifer in my corner.  She addresses every concern and makes sure I'm really clear on where I am headed and how she recommends moving forward.  Her advice on other matters has also been invaluable (life insurance, when to take social security for my husband, etc.).

										I have known Jennifer Kirby for about 20 years and watched her transition from a very successful professional career as an employee to open her own partnered practice as a Financial Advisor. She's my advisor because, unlike every other person I have talked to in this profession through the years, she understands that life, and careers, don't always take the 'prescribed route'....and that's great! Instead of trying to force-fit you into financial products she LISTENS to your life goals and helps make the financial map to achieve them. 										I was very hesitant about hiring a financial advisor but took the plunge with Talisman.  It was 100% the right move and I regret not doing it sooner. Jennifer was able to take all the random accounts I provided and was provide me with a cohesive investment strategy that was in line with my goals.  Jennifer speaks with me and truly listens to my needs and provides several options for me to choose from. Now my finances are working for me and just to be sure, we meet quarterly to review my portfolio or more frequently if I need to discuss an investment with her. 										Jenn has been an incredible advisor, guiding me through both marriage and divorce over the past 10 years with equal grace and strategic insight. Her non-judgmental approach and ability to meet me exactly where I am have been invaluable. She doesn't overwhelm with financial jargon; instead, she speaks in layman's terms and is clear, patient, and compassionate.

										First and foremost, Jennifer knows her stuff.  I know my money is in the best of hands with her.  But what really sets her apart is the individual attention and care she brings to her clients. There is no cookie cutter here.

Jennifer started by learning what was important to ME specifically. She speaks not in financial jargon, but in real life language, helping me to clarify what I want my life to look like in 5, 10, 20, 30 years.  Then she explained what needs to happen financially to get me there - patiently, with total transparency.  She sparked my curiosity about the process, and my determination to understand and maximize my investment strategy.

She is both a fantastic listener AND communicator - a rare quality in a financial advisor. She is flexible and non-judgmental.
